There is now age grade rugby being organised and (soon to be) played in Bedfordshire, so if you think you are too old or don’t enjoy running against 18 year olds anymore then there is a game for you, the only criteria is that you are 50 or older and everyone who wants to play will get game time. Games are played under normal RFU laws with an added roll on-roll off exception. Bedfordshire County SuperVets’s aim is to have players from across the County with support at club level too. With Ampthill, Biggleswade, Bedford Queens, Bedford Swifts, Dunstablians and Stockwood Rugby clubs supporting this initiative so far (if you would like your club to get involved, please contact us via the email below) we currently have a squad of over 45 players made up from 8 clubs across the County with more joining weekly. Our aim is to play six games over the normal season, avoiding where possible league weekends. There are also plans for Friday night games during the season too. Our first game is on the 20th September 2025 at Dunstablians RFC, kick off at 14.00 Vs. Hertfordshire SuperVets. If you are interested in playing for or supporting this fantastic initiative please email us at BedsSuperVets@gmail.com If you fancy a beer and a laugh, see you on September the 20th feel free to bring the family.
